This architecturally crafted new build was guided by a clear and confident brief. The owner was adamant that the interior remain understated rather than elaborate – seeking a space that felt elegant, timeless, calm and classic.
A light, airy colour palette was selected to create a soft backdrop that enhances the home’s elevated ocean views while complementing the client’s existing antique furniture. The result is an interior that feels fresh and modern, yet grounded and enduring.
While naturally reserved in approach, the client was open to gently pushing comfort zones. Subtle pattern was introduced throughout the bedrooms and living areas, adding quiet interest and depth. In contrast, the guest powder room was fully embraced as a moment of bold expression – rich in colour, pattern and personality.
The outcome is a calm, confident retreat that balances restraint with character, exceeding the clients expectations for his new home.
